La Maison Convertible, a leader in the manufacture of smart furniture for over 40 years, was delighted to launch its very first design competition, open to all people, students or graduates, in design. Our desire was to highlight the projects of young creators and future great designers of tomorrow.
This project offered an exceptional opportunity for creative minds to showcase their talent and creativity while pushing the boundaries of innovation in the field of tomorrow's responsible sofa and furniture. Meeting the needs of today's homes
For several decades, our brand has been closely interested in the needs of furniture consumers. It is in this sense that we have evolved our offer over the years, to adapt to the constraints and problems of housing over time.
Specialist in space optimization, we wonder about the place occupied by the sofa in homes and its future use . Our recent study, carried out in collaboration with OpinionWay*, told us that 42% of those under 35 say they are occupying their sofa more than before the health crisis.
To meet this new need, we decided to appeal to the visionary and creative views of young graduates or those at the end of their studies, also allowing them to see their project and profile highlighted.
The new sofa bed of tomorrow
This competition therefore aims to design the sofa of tomorrow, while keeping in mind the notion of optimizing space, to meet the space requirements in tomorrow's homes.
We also ask for the following conditions:
- A feasible sofa,
- A sofa that is both designer, comfortable and functional,
- A sofa that can be handled with ease,
- A sofa with a sleeping function,
- A sofa capable of accommodating at least two people,
- If a technology is integrated it must still be relevant in 10 years,
Being as close as possible to our designers
Since 2017, our brand has called on renowned designers to design our collection. Romain, Remi, Tommaso, etc. it is thanks to these talents that our sofa beds are born. Today, it is to young designers that we offer this possibility.
Exceptional rewards for the winners
In addition to benefiting from visibility on our site, our social networks and in our stores, the winners will be awarded the following prizes :
- First Prize: The winner of the competition will be awarded the sum of 2,500 euros and will have the pleasure of seeing their model highlighted by La Maison Convertible. He will be accompanied during the creation of the sofa by our expert teams.
- The Second Prize: the second winner will receive the sum of 1000 euros.
- The Third Prize: the third winner will receive the sum of 800 euros.
